Frequent visitors to this blog know I like to have fun and keep things light. Of the 16 business rules I’ve developed over the years, the most important is number 16: “There’s always a reason to smile. Find it.”
My most important rule. Whenever I mention my rule number 16, I also repeat something my little brother tells me: “We’re not here for a long time. We’re here for a good time.”
Most of us work in support. At this moment Go Daddy has about 1,800 employees. Over 1,200 are in our customer support area. I do everything I can to make that area a fun place to work.
Our customer support operations are located entirely in the state of Arizona.
It’s a fun place to work. We do lots of things to make our support area a fun place to work. Most notably are frequent contests with grand prizes of cars, motorcycles, jet skis, exotic vacations or payment of the employee’s rent or mortgage for one year. And to make it even better, Go Daddy also steps up and pays the associated income tax, so that the employee really does win the entire award.
Customers love Go Daddy Support. The results speak for themselves. When I’m out and about, quite often I’m stopped by one of our over 4.5 million active customers and they tell me how much they appreciate the prompt, enthusiastic service the staff at Go Daddy provides.
What I know about Internet users. Go Daddy provides such a high level of customer service because of something that I’ve learned over the years. It’s really simple. Here it is: “People love using the Internet for transacting business, communicating and interacting with others. But when it comes to solving problems or simply getting a question answered, people much prefer to deal with other people.”
So if you have a question
feel free to give us a call.
Edgy commercials. Another area where Go Daddy is different is our commercials. I like to keep them light and fun.
Go Daddy has a Cannonball team? Earlier this month, we signed world-class swimmer and 7-time Olympic medal winner Amanda Beard as our next Go Daddy Girl. Our Go Daddy Live staff prepared a video of that day’s events which features the debut of the Official Go Daddy Cannonball team. For a smile

Our latest Internet-only commercial. Go Daddy Productions also went right to work and filmed new commercials with Amanda. Of course, we created an Internet-only version of the edgiest commercial. To see the Internet-only version

After you check out both videos do me a small favor tell me what you think. Are they too edgy? Just right? Or maybe, not edgy enough?
Until next time.
